Hamer developed this theory after his son’s tragic death was followed by his own testicular cancer diagnosis. The system, which shares similarities with the work of Dr. Gabor Maté, suggests that the psyche "kicks" unprocessed trauma to the body to complete a healing process, viewing symptoms as adaptations rather than malfunctions.

The experiment resulted in the death of lab mice and the creation of "DOR" or deadly orgone clouds.
