Chaplin explains that the Habsburgs paid Sauniere a high price for his findings but effectively kept him prisoner at Rennes-le-Chateau. To prevent him from leaving with his wealth, a neighboring priest was ritually murdered as a warning. This enforcement ensured the protection of secrets regarding the towers and portals, which various empires and the Vatican have historically sought to control or suppress through violence and genocide.

Corey Daniel argues that high-profile events like the Las Vegas shooting and the death of Jeffrey Epstein are ritualistic sacrifices encoded with numerology. He points to the recurring appearance of the number 10 and 91 in the Vegas event as evidence of a scripted occult spell. These events are described as "sorcery," defined as causing change in conformity with the will of elite practitioners.

The "Smiley Face Killings" involve a series of mysterious deaths of young, collegiate males across the US and UK whose bodies are found in water near smiley face graffiti. Researcher William Ramsey has documented these cases, suggesting they are the work of a coordinated group rather than a single serial killer. The ritualistic nature of these events may be connected to the broader occult symbolism found in the music industry.

Using "synchromistic algebra," White links the October 2017 Las Vegas shooting to the arrival of Oumuamua. He notes that the object appeared to come from the direction of the star Vega shortly after the "Vegas" event, which occurred on NASA's birthday. He suggests this could be interpreted as a mass blood sacrifice ritual intended to "ring the bell" of the universe and elicit a response.

Tracy Twyman explains the blurred lines between reality and fiction in her novel Genuflect. The protagonist, Pamela Auger, is a fictionalized version of Twyman herself, while the primary antagonist is modeled after Michael Bloomberg. Twyman clarifies that while the villain's interests in esoteric philosophy and surrealism are part of the narrative, the more nefarious crimes depicted are fictionalized elements used to explore deep-state conspiracy themes.
