Near-death experiences, specifically that of Elizabeth Krohn, suggest that outside of the physical body, time can be navigated like a spatial dimension. This "cake-slice" view of time allows access to any point in the past or future simultaneously, a phenomenon also reported during deep Ayahuasca ceremonies. These experiences reinforce the idea that the future is not strictly predestined but exists as a dimension accessible through the "upper world."

A brief discussion on predatory psychiatry frames depression and sadness as vital biological signals indicating a need for life changes rather than chemical imbalances to be suppressed. This concept is linked to the earlier theme of political exhaustion, suggesting both are calls to action. The segment transitions into the work of Dr. Jeff Kripal regarding the interface between the human imagination and external beings.

The discussion expands to include insights from Dr. Jeff Kripal regarding the "sublimated male homoeroticism" inherent in the Catholic priesthood and Christian history. Kripal argues that an all-male institution worshipping a male deity naturally selects for "gay spiritualities." This is paired with further excerpts from Dr. Hillman's book about the "Order of Draco" and the use of ritual sodomy to "root out female allure" and create a unique psychological state in early Christian converts.

The host reflects on the interview, categorizing Analog as a "modern mystic" whose research was triggered by a life-changing accident. He expands on the "pyramid as bunker" theory, suggesting the Washington Monument might serve as a marker for future elites to reclaim territory after a cataclysm. The segment also touches on Gordon White's "immortality machines" concept, where pyramids are used to project consciousness across the cosmos.

Greg Carlwood concludes the show by promoting the "Plus" membership, which offers a second hour of content. He reviews recent episode ratings for guests like William Ramsey and Jeff Kripal and announces upcoming meetups in Los Angeles and Nashville for January 2024. He encourages listeners to support the show to help navigate the "bumpy" years leading up to 2030.

Greg Carlwood provides updates for "The Higher Side Chats" Plus members, including a recap of listener feedback for the recent Dr. Jeff Kripal episode. He announces upcoming listener meetups in Los Angeles and Nashville for January 2024. The host emphasizes the value of the Plus membership for accessing full two-hour interviews and supporting the show's independent research.

The discussion highlights the high-profile endorsements for Strieber's work from figures like Jacques Vallee and Dr. Jeff Kripal. Strieber's massive collection of letters from experiencers is now housed at Rice University in the "Archives of the Impossible." This archive serves as a record of first contact, documenting data that has often been obscured by political sleight-of-hand and official secrecy.

The host reflects on the interview, praising the depth of the stories in Strieber's book and the quality of his research. He addresses skeptics by noting that the second half of "Them" functions as "hard-nosed ufology journalism" that doesn't rely on personal belief. The contributions of researchers like Mitch Horowitz and Jacques Vallee are highlighted as essential components of the book.

A research trip to a remote location in New Mexico required participants to be blindfolded to protect the site's coordinates. Accompanied by the scientist James, the group used specialized metal detectors to recover physical artifacts buried deep beneath the surface. One recovered item was described as having a texture similar to "metallic frog skin," while others appeared to be threaded with unknown materials currently undergoing scientific analysis.

Future research will focus on "book encounters" and intense synchronicities that alter the lives of those studying the paranormal. Dr. Pasulka maintains a website, AmericanCosmic.com, to share updates on film projects and related works by authors like Eric Wargo and Jeff Kripal. A 30% discount code for the book is available for use on the Oxford University Press website.
