Topic: Nineveh

The discovery of the Ashurbanipal Library in 1849 in Nineveh, modern-day Iraq, provided over 30,000 cuneiform tablets that predate the Library of Alexandria. King Ashurbanipal, acting as both a king and high priest, collected these tablets because he recognized they were already ancient during his reign. These clay records were baked to ensure their preservation, offering a version of history that contradicts the standard 6,000-year timeline of civilization.

The Yazidi people claim descent from ancient Sumerians and maintain a unique religious system that predates major monotheistic faiths. Mosul and the nearby ruins of Nineveh serve as critical repositories for untranslated cuneiform texts and ancient artifacts that may hold the key to humanity's origins. The ongoing genocide against the Yazidis by the Islamic State threatens to erase these ancient cultural links and the knowledge they possess.
