Magic Mushrooms comes up in 3 chapters across 3 episodes of The Higherside Chats Free Show, from July 2012 to May 2019.
Denver Mushroom Decriminalization, Outro and Bunker Song
The show concludes with a mention of Denver decriminalizing magic mushrooms and a critique of the corporate "sickness system." The episode ends with the "Bunker" song, featuring themes of civil defense, financial corruption, and seeking refuge from societal plunder.
Magic Mushrooms, Bristol Spirit Lodge Synchronicity
A psychedelic experience involving magic mushrooms and sightings of goblin-like creatures influenced the direction of a researcher's career toward investigating fringe topics. This path led to the discovery of the Bristol Spirit Lodge, a small group dedicated to trance and physical mediumship located near the researcher's home. The group provided a case study for why people believe in spirits, concluding that belief stems from direct experience.
Psychedelics, Portals and the DMT Elf Phenomenon
The discussion focuses on how psychedelics like LSD and DMT may act as keys to opening portals to other realms rather than causing mere hallucinations. Redfern references his book Final Events, noting cases where multiple people under the influence of LSD witnessed the same UFO. He describes the "DMT elf" phenomenon, where users report consistent encounters with entities, suggesting these substances allow the human mind to perceive a broader fabric of reality.
