Topic: Domestic Terrorism

The "NGO industrial complex" describes a system where organizations receive government grants to prevent terrorism but lack the incentive to solve the problem permanently. While many conspiracy theorists believe the FBI orchestrates every mass violence event, BX argues that the agency often suffers from extreme incompetence and lack of communication between field offices. This systemic failure allows radical communities to persist as long-term research subjects for funded entities.

Investigative reporting is essential for pulling apart the structures of power that are not obvious to the general public. While not every writer is a conscious participant in intelligence operations, those nurtured by the apparatus become authoritative voices that normalize increased domestic surveillance and limitations on liberty. The "War on Terror" serves as a primary example of how perceived external threats are used to justify the erosion of individual freedoms.

The background of shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks is explored, including his appearance in a BlackRock commercial and his parents' profession as behavioral therapists. The discussion references Trevor Aronson’s work on how the FBI has historically targeted vulnerable, socially isolated individuals to manufacture domestic terror plots. The hosts question whether Crooks was a lone actor or a product of similar federal coercion and manipulation.

The influence of the Order of Nine Angles has manifested in violent real-world crimes committed by members of the American far-right group Atomwaffen Division. Notable incidents include the murder of Blaze Bernstein and a plot by Brandon Russell to destroy the Baltimore electrical grid. These events demonstrate that the ONA's doctrines are not merely an online role-playing exercise but a driver of actual domestic terrorism and homicide.
