Chris Knowles discusses the influence of Jeffrey Epstein on the fields of transhumanism and "scientism," noting his financial ties to prominent scientists like Daniel Dennett and Richard Dawkins. He observes that many bizarre "comic book science" stories, such as growing children from fingernail scrapings, disappeared from the news following Epstein's arrest. The segment suggests Epstein's cadre was a driving force behind a new religion of science and the pursuit of godhood.

Eliminative materialism is described as the current status quo in neurology and psychology, suggesting that humans do not actually possess an inner life or self-referential consciousness. Figures like Daniel Dennett and Patricia Churchland are criticized for promoting "scientism"—a referred belief system—rather than true science. The argument is made that one must be conscious to even be fooled into thinking they are conscious, highlighting a logical flaw in materialist denials of sentience.
