Greg Carlwood expresses a desire to facilitate physical gatherings for digital communities, inspired by the Astrognosis event. He jokes about buying an old church in retirement to create a "Higher Side Cathedral." Christopher Knowles mentions that White had long pressured him to start a Patreon, which he finally did after Marvel "fired their entire staff."

Gordon White plugs his new course on protection magic and "malefica" (curse work), noting that his students voted for these topics during a time of global instability. They discuss the ethics of counter-magic and the philosophical journey of taking up space in the world. Greg muses about consulting the "egregore" of The Higher Side Chats to help book elusive guests for the show.
