About this episode

Jim Willis, a former ordained minister with a master's degree in theology, details his transition from the pulpit to the South Carolina woods to investigate suppressed ancient technologies and the quantum Akashic field. Willis challenges the academic conspiracy of silence surrounding megalithic sites like Gobekli Tepe and the Great Pyramid of Giza, suggesting that modern civilization is merely recovering lost innovations from previous cycles of human history. He argues that the Ark of the Covenant functioned as a high-voltage capacitor, explaining the Pharaoh's desperate pursuit of Moses.

Willis describes establishing a daily dialogue with a spirit entity named Sabuco through the use of copper dowsing rods to detect an 84.5-inch wide ley line stretching across North America. He posits that human life serves as a mechanism for gathering experience information to facilitate the growth of a universal Source, where even negative events provide necessary friction for spiritual evolution. The discussion covers the limitations of the Clovis First theory in archaeology, the exclusion of the Book of Enoch from the biblical canon, and the potential use of vibration and frequency to manipulate massive stones in antiquity.

Jim Willis shares a profound moment of synchronicity in Fenny Compton, England, where he discovered his ancestors preached from the same pulpit he visited during a spiritual retreat. Host Greg Carlwood reflects on the recent passing of his father and the logistical realities of hospice care while reviewing the Watergate call girl theory presented by previous guest Nick Bryant. The session concludes with a look at Willis’s self-published audiobook, The Wizard in the Wood, and his collaborative musical projects.

Jim Willis Introduction and Spiritual Quest in South Carolina

Jim Willis, a former ordained minister with over 40 years of experience and a master's degree in theology, joins the program to discuss his transition from traditional religion to alternative spirituality. Following his retirement at age 62, Willis moved to a cabin in the South Carolina woods bordering a state forest to pursue a deeper understanding of the unknown. His extensive bibliography covers topics ranging from ancient civilizations and suppressed technologies to near-death experiences and the quantum Akashic field.

05:34 There's clearly maybe something there But until you've thoroughly tested every last close-tested view The more you think, the less you really do Where would we be without DHC? Oh they're lying to us just don't know to what degree Yeah where would we be without DHC? The higher side chats show

06:10 Here we go, Hireside Chatters doing the thing from the Sunshine State. I'm Greg Carlwood and it's true that we have so many tense activities taking place right now within the big show of human existence from war protests that seem to be upsetting people more than actual war to an uncertain economic environment that has many of us wondering when the money music is going to stop But sometimes we get so focused on the stories of the day that we forget about the stage and the bigger questions of what this reality even is. And what are we doing this all for? Did we come here for some personal purpose or as a job in middle management until were 65, the best we can hope for? Well when you look at all the information that the crafters of Western society have sidelined and put it all together, you start to ask some big questions they'd rather not have to address

07:01 Like, why are there several suppressed substances and practices that can take us out of our bodies and into trippy encounters with intelligence outside the normal range of detection? Isn't it odd that preserved in so many other cultures in humanity's oldest writings are stories about non-human intelligences, massive cataclysms, and epic upheavals. Why do we have the ruins of incredibly impressive megalithic sites all around the Earth, including a lap band of pyramids with even more complex structures often below the surface? Even the timeline of making these discoveries and putting all these pieces together along with the wider technological process and the sped up agendas of The Elite... ...all start to suggest that we might be on a longer cycle that curiously resets as soon as we think we've become aware of it.

07:46 As the progress of most single human lives often hit the same beats from cradle to grave and back again, might our whole human terrarium hold a similar pattern for our collective progress until it's time to hit that big red button on the cataclysmic time loop once again? It makes you wonder when this is all information and insights held on the margins, and within what we call alternative research. Yet it paints a pretty consistent story that's not so convenient for keeping everyone's nose to the grindstone! Well these are just some of my thoughts after a week with the incredibly expansive work of today's guest Jim Willis Jim has a master's degree in theology and worked as an ordained minister for over 40 years until some strange experiences in retirement gave him a fresh perspective on the big picture. He has also written over 20 impressive books on history, religion, cults, conspiracy, the apocalypse, cross-cultural spirituality and mysteries of the unknown

09:29 Oh, thank you. Thank you for that introduction Greg. Boy! You make me sound interesting. Thank you I appreciate it Yes yes that is the goal and thanks for being here your work is super impressive Visible Ink has been nice enough to send me several of your books over the years And they've always been on the pile of things to get to, but like a wizard's arrival. A show occurs precisely when it should and here we are! But I want to start with a little bit of your story and what happened after your retirement? I understand you built a cabin in the woods as part of a spiritual quest. An from just the little I've heard it sounds like it got quite strange out there. Well yes when I started out in ministry

Jacob Wrestling the Angel and Ancestral Synchronicity in Cornwall

A personal anecdote details a visit to Fenny Compton, England, where the guest discovered a significant family connection to the biblical story of Jacob wrestling with God. While standing in the same pulpit used by his ancestors in the 1600s, he observed a stained-glass window depicting the exact Genesis verse that had inspired his own spiritual retreat. This event is presented as a profound example of spiritual DNA and synchronicity connecting his past ministerial career to his current metaphysical research.

book of genesis· jacob and esau· fenny compton· church of england· synchronicity

10:15 I've always been kind of a spiritual seeker. Back in the 70s, when I was in my 20s, I got out of school and I was pastor at my first church and teacher everything from elementary school through high school to later college. And I thought when I was pastor of a church that what would happen is that I would join a community of like-minded people, and we would spend our time trying to grow spiritually and trying to grapple with the essential realities of life. Back then I talked about coming to grips with God, that was the idea. We were all young, naive in our 20s, knew all the answers, you know? And it just didn't turn out that way! What I didn't realize is when you become pastor

11:07 You become CEO of a small company, so you got to worry about stuff like budgets and staff and buildings. And the next teaching seminar or the next church service, you've gotta be a part-time counselor. You've gotta visit the sick, of course, and you've gotta deal with the personality issues that come up with any small community of people." So that's what I got busy doing! And 40 years went by...I don't know where it went? And I lost the original vision. Now, there were times during those 40 years when sure during times of worship or times of prayer especially and I was very much involved with music since that was my first career especially during times of music listening to music and making music. I would have those feelings

11:56 transported beyond myself a little bit and I'd have the glimpse of eternity, the glimpse of immortality and that kind of thing. The glimpse of something bigger than ourselves but basically it was always getting ready for the next thing. That's what life is for most of us today. It's getting ready for tomorrow, getting ready for this afternoon you go through five days at work and you go through the weekend then all of a sudden its Monday and you do it again And then 40 years goes by. When I was 62 years old, I wasn't really old enough yet to retire in terms of finances. Couldn't really afford it but I couldn't put it off anymore. I was old enough at 62 that I could sign up for early social security and they'd give me a little bit of income and I figured well

12:45 I'll just cut my expenses to the bone and do what I've always wanted to do, and that's grapple with the unknown. I used to call it God—I'm not quite as comfortable with that nowadays because now the word God has got so much baggage on it. Some people say god and other people say god, and they mean two different things totally. And I'm afraid that when I say god someone is going to think that I am talking about the same kind of god that they're thinking of when So I prefer to use the word source right now, or I prefer the word spirit. And all that means is the essential us, the essential who we are where we come from where we're going and all that kind of thing. So at age 62, I decided that's it! I'm gonna hang it up and came out here to the woods in South Carolina little did I know

13:36 The real estate agent who showed me this piece of property, it's right out in the middle of the woods. It met all my needs because I don't own a lot of property in terms of acreage but its nestled right up against the state forest so I could walk for days without seeing anybody if I wanted to or hardly crossing a road that kind of thing and it was out here and I came out here with the idea I'm going to build a road back to this place and I'm gonna build my small little house cabin in the woods I've always wanted to do that, and I'm going to spend one year," I said. I even had a Bible verse in mind. It came from the book of Genesis, that wonderful story where Jacob and Esau—two brothers—they get estranged and Jacob has to flee for his life. And he goes up into what is present-day Turkey now up near where Gobekli Tepe was relatively recently discovered. Finally, he comes back! By now, he's got four wives and twelve kids

14:45 which are going to become the patriarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel. And he's gonna be reconciled with his brother Esau, the next day and he's walking back and forth on his side of the river. I assume Esau is doing the same thing on his side tomorrow they're gonna meet Jacob doesn't know what's gonna happen He doesn't know if Esau is going to forgive him or fight with them or whatever. The Bible story is a crazy story because Jacob pacing the floor like we all do at night sometimes when we're all by ourselves in the dark and we don't know what's going to happen, and we're worried. He comes across this man and it just says they wrestle together why? I don't know but they wrestle! And when the dawn came up it came to Jacob that he was wrestling with God and he finally said, I won't let you go until you bless me

15:36 And that was the Bible verse that was in my mind when I came up here. I was going to wrestle with God and say, I will not let you go until You bless me." And lo and behold, my prayer was answered but not in the way I expected! I didn't meet God through traditional Christian methods at all—I don't suppose it would have worked after 40 years of making Christianity into a kind of business so-to-speak? No. I met the source, I met spirit and through quite a different way. Probably through the oldest religion known to man right now which was probably shamanism. I've got it done! I have to tell you a sequel to this story though. A number of years ago I was asked to go over to Cornwall in the UK and give a talk about the roots of world religions

16:31 and I had never been to England before. So, I went over to flew over to London and took the train out to Cornwall met some wonderful people at some great times but while i was out there there was a little town that I had to visit up northwest of England called Fenny Compton And the reason I had to visit that time is because that's where my ancestors were My great-great-great...I don't know how many greats back ancestors were clergy in the Church of England. They used to preach in this little church, this old stone church that still stands in Fenning Compton ever since the 1600's I guess

17:08 Well, I went out there rented a car learned how to drive on for me what was the wrong side of the road. Went out there and met my first English they call them roundabouts their we come traffic circles and boy you go around the traffic circle at about 40 miles an hour going backwards from what you're used to and it's an experience but anyway I got into this little church that I met the town historian And she took me into the church, and there on the wall was the plaques for all of the clergy who have served that church. There was Willis—the name Willis right there on the wall—and I was able to go up into the pulpit where my ancestor used to preach. There in the pulpit, I looked across and saw a stained glass window that he saw whenever he was up there in that church preaching.

17:58 It was a picture of Jacob wrestling with God, saying I will not let you go until you bless me. Now how that man's spiritual DNA could be passed down through the generations? I don't know but it wound up in me and I often wonder if he ever thought that somehow one of his ancestors who now lived across the pond One of his descendants, rather who now lived across the pond would someday stand in that pulpit and think of him. And especially come to what he would have called God, what I call source or spirit through a totally different medium than Christianity but the hair was standing up on the back of my head. I got pictures of it it's just...I'll never forget it as long as I live so anyway I came out here with that verse and the prayer was answered!

CHAPTER 03 / 13 Discussion

Dowsing for Earth Energy and Communication with Spirit Guides

The discussion shifts to the practice of dowsing using copper L-rods to detect Earth energy lines, specifically a 84.5-inch wide ley line running from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The guest describes establishing a daily dialogue with a spirit entity named Sabuco, whom he identifies as an entangled version of himself existing on the other side of the Higgs field. This communication method utilizes the dowsing rods for binary yes-and-no responses, providing a consistent sense of connection to a larger reality beyond the physical plane.

18:51 the Spirit, the Source that I had been preaching about for 40 years but very rarely experiencing. And after that first year, I was hooked and everything opened up. I started writing books, I started dowsing for Earth energies and through that I found the whole nature of spirit entities, spirit guides—everything just opened in a way that I never expected. That was 16 years ago and it's still going strong, I just celebrated my 78th birthday and I'm finishing up a book right now on of all things Bigfoot sightings and I've got another one waiting in the wings about strange geographical oddities around the world places everything from the basic mysterious triangles

19:41 that are around and skinwalker ranch and all that kind of stuff so it's been a trip i really have never expected in here i am still going strong. I love it and synchronicities are popular around her obviously the stained glass window synchronicity is interesting and i got to commend you for being so committed To one faith for forty years and then being able to be open enough to experience other things a lot of things that are considered. I do think are the oldest forms of spirituality and there's something completely baked in two reality you don't need any modern tools to experience these things

20:27 So to me it's like eternal, it is all this humanity perhaps and a lot of people who are so rooted in one brand of religion. They demonize these very things and they consider them evil and that's like they're not evil there and they're just natural and I think it's so silly when people get wrapped up in one brand of religion that often doesn't expose you to the evidence of a bigger life the way these shamanic triggers do and I'm curious because you've talked about out of body experiences, numerous ones spirit communications guides. What kind of shamanic triggers did you experience? Entheogens mushrooms drumming circles fasting? I never got into that i have friends who have tried both synthetics and things like ayahuasca and that kinda thing

21:23 I've never done that myself. It's not that I'm against them, it's just that I've never had any exposure to them. Two things really worked for me that opened me up and one was just plain old-fashioned meditation. I began to use HemiSync music developed by Robert Monroe up in the Monroe Institute and I still do that quite often and it helps my meditation to retrieve that one point focus. The other thing that helped me probably as much as anything really is dowsing I never knew anything about dowsing. I didn't know if I believed in it or not, but one day I just got up and said to myself that I want to learn how

22:13 So, I went into my local hardware store and believe it or not they didn't carry dowsing rods. I can't imagine why but at any rate you know I said well what do you have for copper wire? And he had some very thick copper wire and I said can you cut me out a couple of 18-19 inch pieces of that so we cut off a couple things with copper wire. I brought them home bent them into what they call L rods because they look like the letter L and for those who are not familiar with dowsing L-rods work when you hold them in each hand and when you're dowsing, say for water. For instance, you walk across and when you're concentrating on water, when you cross that underground stream the rods will, in my case they crossed for some people they open but for me they crossed. And I tried dowsing for water and got nowhere! I couldn't find any water at all

23:08 So I went back inside and got on the internet, and I read some articles about dowsing for Earth energy. And that sounded kind of interesting so i started dowsing for Earth energy which are energy lines in this case here at the house it was an energy ley line that goes clear across the country but...I took a step right out into what is now my front yard to change my life forever one step the rods were just there Another step, man they slammed together so hard almost hit me in the face you know. And I found this river of energy that was 84 and a half inches wide and I could walk out into it and when I hit one side like the one shore their rods would cross. When I came at it from the other side they would cross and I could stand in the middle with one rod and say

24:00 what direction is the energy flowing and it would flow one way or the other, and where's it coming from? And it would show me that. And it was just fascinating! I discovered that low and behold, I built my house... talk about synchronicity right smack on what used to be called a ley line now people are more calling them energy lines or energy lays but it runs clear cross-country from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Pacific And when I plotted it out on a map, I've doused it out miles in direction. In one section, I found it when it was about 30-40 miles away up at what used to be before they were blown up the Georgia Guidestones that went right through there. It went from there out toward the west and went through mound culture. I found it last summer when I was visiting Cahokia

24:55 the great Indian mound of Cahokia. And I was standing out there and I discovered, lo and behold it's that same energy line! And i measured at 84 1⁄2 inches. It is just absolutely amazing. And I'm sure that the ancients could follow these things, they could feel them. Our body senses this stuff just like... Oh I like to say remember the old black and white televisions with the rabbit ear antennas? And you could stand in the room and pick up the rabbit ears and turn them in there get the picture snowy or clear and you realize then that those rabbit ears were acting like a set of dowsing rods though television energy was flowing right through you

25:37 And you just didn't know it. Your body knew it, but it didn't register it because we relate to this world... We're taught to relate to this world not so much through our bodies as through our five senses taste touch hearing smell that kind of thing and So our bodies pick this stuff up But below the level where our mind interprets it So the dowsing rods turn into a sense of rabbit ears that tells you what your body is feeling And I'm sure that the ancients, and I'm talking about well perhaps 40 thousand 50 thousand years ago they were right here on this property. And the reason we can date them that clearly is that right down the Savannah River from me is the topper site where they have discovered below the Clovis layer of projectile points

26:28 The fact human-made stones, human artifacts that go back to 50 000 years and it's not that far. Anybody who there at the Topper site and they're definitely there because the artifacts are there would have come up river and they would have found our place and our place turned out to be a quarry where they used to get their stone tools and at least the blanks for the stone tools. And we have found all kinds of tools around here, when I was digging the foundation for the house or when we were planting gardens or something like that. We've found arrowheads, we've found projectile points, we've found stone tools that they used to plant sunflowers and corn and all that kind of thing. So I knew there were people here

27:13 And after I began to be more familiar with it, lo and behold, I began to sense that there was something trying to communicate with me when I was really in tune. What it turned out to be was a spirit guide which for reasons I won't go into I call Sabuco now. I began to realize that here was a real entity on the other side of the Higgs field so-to speak We live on this side where energy collapses down into matter and here was an entity on the other side. And I began to think, well why is it that this particular entity is just waiting around for me to find him? Then I discovered low and behold one day through yes-and-no conversations, the Ra's would cross when there was a Yes answer and they would stay still when there was No

28:01 that the reason this particular entity was interested in me was because this particular spirit guide was, in effect, me on the other side. I had left on the other side when I came here and so an effect I began to see that we are what the physicists would call entangled with these other dimensions and that here is a real spirit entity that is entangled with me and the reason is because we are one And I discovered, lo and behold that in my life there have been times when my faith has been great. When it's waned there've been times when I felt in touch with God and sometimes where I just felt totally cut off from God. That went on for the 40 years I was in Christian ministry but I've got to say that since I started dowsing and since I started finding a spirit entity on the other side who I could talk

28:56 I douse this entity almost every day now during my meditations and i have never once in 16 years been disappointed. The rods always respond it's a comforting feeling to know we are really not alone and this reality that we call real is just one small part of a much larger reality that's much bigger than we can imagine yeah, I find that fascinating Equally fascinating and ironic that so many people in a traditional ministry would call that an evil spirit and then you can say no i experience the spirit it's not evil, and they're still committed like no it's tricking you its pretending to be good to lead you away from god there so committed to the premise. And it's like i grew up in a religious background gave up on it and then through all these sorts of things not exactly down but

CHAPTER 04 / 13 Discussion

Shamanic Information Retrieval and the Limitations of Language

The conversation explores the role of the shaman as a healer who retrieves vital information from the spirit world to treat patients in the physical realm. Out-of-body and near-death experiences are characterized as purposeful journeys intended to gather eternal lessons rather than mere thrills. A significant challenge identified is the inadequacy of human language to describe these non-physical dimensions, as words are designed for a reality defined by the five senses.

shamanism· out-of-body experience· patrick harper· demonic reality· near-death experience

29:48 Meditation shamanic practices and the agenda learning about subtle energy it's made me more spiritual than ever and more confident in that spirituality and so that's what i think is the real. irony for those people that are stuck in those boxes but i do want to know a little bit more about this being patrick harper's demonic reality is fresh my mind a great book about. This very stuff talking about the greeks and their beliefs that they had day monic companions that were spiritual

30:24 companions that sometimes actually held the contracts that people apparently come to this plane with the agenda, that they're supposed to fulfill. And if you go off course maybe that's when you come down with an illness or various things can happen to you. That kind of should be signposts that Hey, you need to get back on the path to what you signed up for before you came here and Not that the Greeks had a monopoly on exactly what is going on, but these are interesting ideas that I think do kind of form a shape of something that a lot of people have tried to talk about. And I'm just curious what you've gotten from your communications with this spirit entity because so few people actually have these kinds of

31:16 call them dialogues or ongoing relationships. And I think many of us would like to trigger our own if we can only fit it into our daily schedule, there's always a new Netflix show to watch maybe we don't have time to sit down and talk to our other self on the mirror side reality but what have you gotten from this? Has this been shared with you information that is inaccessible in other ways? Yeah that is the key! You put your finger right on I have had Christian friends from the past who are absolutely convinced that I've gone off the deep end. In Christian words, I have forgotten my first love and that kind of thing. And I still relate to Christianity because it's home. I certainly think about it in a totally different way now than I used to. I'm much more metaphorically and not nearly as historically.

32:10 But every once in a while, people say, well you know these things don't exist. I mean how can you possibly say that? You're a Christian minister! How can you possibly see there are entities in another dimension who want to give us messages?" And I said, were you in church last Christmas? And they usually say yes. And I said do you ever sing that song Hark the Herald Angels Sing Glory to the Newborn Gang and he said well yeah of course or Angels We Have Heard on High what are those songs about entities from another dimension coming into our reality bringing us a message of hope and good news saying there's purpose

32:46 It's right there in Christianity. The apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians had an out-of-body experience or a near death experience, and he said he was taken up to heaven! And he learned things there that he wasn't even able to talk about because language didn't describe it. Well go back into the Old Testament from Isaiah and Ezekiel and so many of the others—or in the New Testament Jesus going up onto the Mount transfiguration with Peter, James and John. And there out of the ether steps Moses and Elijah who had been dead for generations and talk to him about death." We know that he was talking about preparing him for his death because it said we came down off that mountain if the story is you know to be believed historically. Came down off that mountain set his face toward Jerusalem to die, you know? That kind of thing entities preparing him for

33:40 And I began to understand a little about what was going on with the real ancient shamans who had these experiences. In shamanism, the idea of the shaman was a healer and when he was dealing with a patient, he often didn't know what combination of herbs to use for instance or what kind of symbols to use or what kind of rituals to use and he would go into a shamanic trance either through drumming or possibly through mushrooms, or anything else like that. He would go into this trance and he would leave his body and he would go to the other side but this trip wasn't just to give him a thrill it was to impart information so he would have to bring this information back and what was the information? It was about how to treat this particular patient how to bring healing I think that's the whole purpose for

34:41 near-death experiences or through out of body experiences. We don't just do it to get a thrill, although at the beginning that's kind of what I was after we do it for a purpose The idea is to learn something and to bring it back And if ever there was a time in history when the world needed some of these lessons which are eternal, not just physical. It's right now! So when you ask what kind of messages have I had? Well, I find it very interesting that since I had my first out-of-body experience...I've written 18 books or something like that and I'm convinced that every single one of those is there for a purpose

35:27 It's to bring some kind of a message. I don't think there is single book that I've ever written, that in one way shape or form or another hasn't been somehow inspired by what I have learned on the other side." Now when people say well what is it exactly you have learned? Ah! There is the problem. Have you ever had a vivid dream and it just seems so real and obvious and when you come back your left breathless oh wow Man, this is fantastic. You know it changed my life." And then you try to explain it and words fall short. You just can't do it. Why? Because words were written to explain a reality on this side of our perception fence and we've just peeked over the sense to see reality on the other side. Words just don't work so what happens is that we all have a Rolodex of experiences that words can try to explain. So when we see something

36:27 When we come back from that vision, all we can hear is our intellect begins to take over and say how can I explain this? Well, we can't say this is what it was. All we can say is this is what it was like. For instance when you go over to the other side some people see a park-like thing with trees and birds, and clouds. Some people might see a city, some people might see a great light, some people might see beings." And I think we don't actually see particularly any of those things necessarily but what we see is something that can only be explained through our experience as being like that. As a result when we come back it's always a disappointment. It's never as real

37:21 I've talked to a lot of people with out-of-body experiences who have said to me, you know it was so real. It was more real there than here! I didn't want to come back. You know we have the idea that we know what love is well over there they say it's perfect love, perfect acceptance, perfect compassion, perfect everything and over here it's just a pale reality of what that is. And so I think that's probably part of the reason, when people ask me to describe what messages I've had...I can't give specific messages about this is going to happen or that's going to happen or this particular thing but I can bring back messages of hope and messages of joy, messages of love and all those things really help

CHAPTER 05 / 13 Discussion

Experience Information and the Purpose of the Akashic Record

A theory is proposed that human life serves as a mechanism for gathering "experience information" to facilitate the growth of the Source. This perspective suggests that both positive and negative life events are necessary for spiritual evolution, as perfect unity lacks the friction required for growth. Upon death, a life review allows individuals to deposit these unique experiences into the Akashic Record, contributing to the collective expansion of universal consciousness.

akashic record· the source· life review· spiritual growth· experience information

38:10 Probably the most helpful teaching that I've ever received, and it came as these things often do in a big block of teaching. Over here we learn word by word sentence by sentence paragraph by paragraph over there it seems to come out on a fully formed block of teaching that somehow we just understand I've had people say, when you spoke to an entity over there who just happened to speak in English. No! It didn't speak in English it was just a reality and I have to describe it in English that's all but at any rate probably the most helpful thing that I've received out of this whole thing is that I become convinced that we come over to this life for a purpose and that purpose is to gather what I like to call experience information

39:01 Think of it this way, when you're in the source it's the still point in the middle of the circle where everything is calm. Everything has perfect peace, perfect unity, perfect oneness, wholeness and there's one thing you can't get in that kind of an environment and that's growth. The only way we can get growth is to have experience but how can you have an experience when everybody is connected? When everything is connected? When all is one In order to get experience we have to come out here at what I call the edge. We move out through the various fields and we come out, and their purpose is to gather experience but what kind of experience? Just good ones? No! Experience doesn't work that way. Experiences are two-sided going some of it's good some of its bad So what i found very helpful from my experiences on the other side

39:51 When I'm involved in a tough situation, when I'm sick. When I'm facing death and I do have a heart condition so that happens regularly begin to think maybe this is the big one you know that kind of thing or when we've got relationship problems or when things aren't going our way and we say oh man what's wrong? Well nothing is wrong! We're experiencing life And that's one of the experiences we came over here to get. So instead of just trying to identify with the good and reject the bad, it reminds me to say well I may not be enjoying this but this is one of the reasons why I came here

40:32 So, rather than just try to reject it I'm going to dig in. I'm gonna feel it and experience it if I'm sick. I'm gonna get every nuance of what it is so that when I leave when I depart this body and have what the near-death experience people tell us is the life review that comes at the end of life...I don't think that's a judgmental thing saying have you been good enough to get to heaven? That doesn't work I think what that life review is, is the idea to take all of our experiences and deposit them in what many people call the Akashic Library or the Akashic Record. And to deposit them before we return to The Source and when that happens The Source can grow as a result of all of our infinite experiences. I hope I'm making some kind of sense it's a complicated thing to try to put into words

41:24 No you got it that's something that jives with a lot of previous guests at least bits and parts of it. And your experiences with the other side really mirror my own definitely felt more real than this reality, I felt totally comfortable with the idea that I would just stay there and I instantly did not miss my life or The idea that i would never go back to my body didn't really bother me at all and thats just extremely strange. And it's funny because the longer i've gone without revisiting that, the more i do feel vested in this life and i wouldn't say im scared of death specially not like before but i am not in a hurry to get there

42:12 And it is interesting that our society really doesn't value these kind of experiences at all and they seem to be the most important experience as a person can have cuz it makes you totally confident in your. Faith let's say now its faith for a reason and you know u also just feel like more purposeful like let me use the rest of my life In a positive way even if it's just to enjoy even if its just to have experience like. It doesn't feel as consequential as oh my god this is my one life and when I die maybe i just disappear entirely in the what second of your life, isn't like that is more like ok now im playing this role that i apparently sign up to play. I'm gonna play hard i wanna go hard let's dial it up but not sit on the couch and waste our time lets go for it

CHAPTER 06 / 13 Discussion

Deathbed Reflections and Overcoming the Fear of Dying

An anecdote about a successful university founder named Bradley highlights the common lack of preparation for the moment of death despite a lifetime of professional achievement. The guest argues that Western society's avoidance of mortality leads to pervasive fear, which can be mitigated through spiritual practice and engagement with the "source." Developing a calm and open approach to the end of life is presented as a vital component of a meaningful existence.

death and dying· hospice· philosophy· spirituality· fear

43:06 I had a good friend who was quite a bit older than me, this is years ago. And at three o'clock in the morning the telephone rang and it was a nurse from the local hospital saying Reverend Willis, I'm sorry to bother you but your friend Bradley's in the hospital he's not expected to live through the night and he's asking for you. Is there any way you can get here to the hospital? And I said sure so I got up on some clothes got my car drove to the hospital I walked And there's my friend Bradley, he is hooked up to machines. He has got intravenous stuff, he has got wires and dials that are going by and lights flashing all over him. He is being fed intravenously in there taking out this and putting it back in. Bradley had just lived an exemplary life. He had earned two doctorates

43:53 and began a university, which is still in effect today. He was the pillar of the community, pillar of the church. If you want to talk about success all you do is look success up on the dictionary and there's Bradley's face looking out at ya', that kind of thing. And I knew him very well at this point so I didn't have to mess around and play the games we all play around death most of us. So I said to him, Bradley are you ready to go? And he started to cry And I said, okay what's happening? He said Jim. I'm not going to kid you. I've lived a good life. I know I'd been a success and there's not very much that I would change and I know I've left a lot of good things behind but there is one thing that I never did in life that I wish I had and I said whats that? And he said I never prepared for this moment. He never prepared for the moment when he was gonna die now Bradley got through that night

44:55 Thank goodness, and he made it through ten more days before he died. And during those 10 days I visited him every day and we talked philosophy and we talk spirituality and we talk religion and we talk this and that everything else." I don't know if I taught Bradley anything during those ten days but I know he sure taught me a lot. And I also know that when the time came He was much more ready than he had been when I first saw him that night I think about him whenever I look around and see the shallow lives that so many of us live nowadays. We're interested in everything but the most important things, and as a result we are not ready when the time comes. And so when we're not ready for an experience how do we approach it? With fear! So many of us are afraid

45:52 It even shows up in our language. I was afraid, I was going to die. I was afraid this was going to happen. I was afraid that was gonna happen. Fear is so much of part of our life and one of the big fears that we are so afraid of is the idea of death and what happens at death? Well, one thing that I've learned at least in the last 16 years of dealing with spirit and source is that getting rid of that fear It helps us approach the end of our life so much better. If we can go into it calm and ready in peace for whatever comes, and just go into it with openness what a difference it can make! And I suppose if anybody listening to this broadcast...if there's one thing you take away, I hope that's it. Don't fear don't be afraid

CHAPTER 07 / 13 Discussion

Conspiracy of Silence in Academia and Suppressed Ancient History

The "conspiracy of silence" is defined as an active force in religion and academia that suppresses facts contradicting established narratives. Examples include the rigid adherence to the "Clovis First" theory in American archaeology and the dismissal of megalithic sites like Gobekli Tepe that challenge standard timelines of civilization. The guest suggests that modern civilization may be a recovery of lost innovative ideas from previous cycles of human history, such as the legendary Atlantis, rather than a linear progression of new discoveries.

conspiracy of silence· clovis culture· gobekli tepe· atlantis· archaeology

46:47 I agree and so this is kind of a hard pivot but the book of yours that i spent the most time with has been lost civilizations the secret histories and suppress technologies of the ancients you kinda divided. Into two parts to say we have the evidence in stone which of course megalithic sites all over the place and we have the evidence in story, which is the myths around the world that kinda tell us about these previous ages n And it you have this paragraph that really speaks to what i was trying to convey in that intro but u right. I have come to believe that there is an active and destructive force at work that i call the conspiracy of silence facts don't fit the common accepted story are often considered troubling so they're filed away and forgotten creating what in effect could very well be a worldwide dark ages a long long period of lost history,

47:42 If this is true what we call civilization today is not a discovery of new innovative ideas but a recovery of them. And i really like that i tend to agree something that, Really bothers the upper crust about all this seems to be too big secrets one that we have cycles of destruction and rebuilding, add two that we are more than our physical bodies they seem to wanna push aside all evidence of those things. But talk to us a little bit more about what you see in this conspiracy of silence, what parts of your vast work might be able to be folded into it and why they care so much. Why this is material that Western society would want to suppress? Yeah it's hard especially most of these stories and stone and evidence and stone and evidence the stories they have to do with exactly what we're talking about. A lot of the megalithic structures talk

48:44 They're looking at life and life after death and that kind of thing. And they're memorials in many ways, or there are places where rituals were held. I began to be aware of the conspiracy of silence when I was just a little kid. And I found it first in religion, then I founded in academia when I became a college professor And it really bothered me. I'll give you an example, when i was just a young kid, I would read the Bible stories about Adam and Eve and they had two children Cain and Abel okay four people in the world. Cain kills his brother Abel now there's three well what does Cain do he goes out and build a city

49:24 Well, it takes more than one person to build a city. And I began to ask the teacher about that—how did King go out and build a city? There are three people in the world according to the Bible! The teacher would say basically very lovingly, sit down and shut up. That was about it. I could never understand it that the Bible seemed with no problem at all seem to recognize a whole civilization that is not going to say anything about. And I began to wonder about this, and so as I began to study religion, I began to think that a lot of the pastors of churches and a lot of the Bible teachers—and sad to say many of the seminary teachers—they don't want to deal with this stuff because they don't know what they're talking about. They've never solved them themselves. So they try to...oh it's just a little kid's question," you know? That kind

50:18 And so they keep it quiet. And then I began to understand, well how do these people get their jobs? Well they get their job by getting a doctorate and how do you get a doctorate? You got to take a lot of classes but then you have to write up paper on something or dissertation on something that's never been covered before when there are a lot of doctoral dissertations out there. So you've got to keep finding smaller and smaller and smaller subjects and stuff that nobody else knows anything about They're very arcane subjects in a lot of ways. And these are the ones that get rewarded, we used to say that boy people are writing more and more about less and less and if it keeps up pretty soon will know absolutely everything about nothing. That's basically what were getting into. I thought it was just on the religious community where they wanted to keep these things quiet oh don't let the people get confused you know? Don't raise these issues that kind of thing

51:13 But then I got into the academic community and I began teaching cross-cultural studies but they also began to really major in teaching world religions. And I discovered it was the same thing there, many of my colleagues when you stand up in front of a group of students who are often very perceptive and they ask very intelligent questions and often in a classroom They're using your textbook, you know. So they're asking questions about your textbook and they say what about this? And you don't know the answer so you tend to keep it down and also when you devote your life to this and all of sudden start teaching something in the classroom then all of sudden it turns out something comes up and its wrong what are going to do call up all your old students and say sorry about that I was wrong no you defend your own position

52:05 I later found it in the world of archaeology and I really got into it when I was talking to archaeologists, you know for basically my entire lifetime. Archaeology has always talked in terms of the first people to come to America were the Clovis people 16,000 years ago. And Clovis I was the doctrine and if you didn't teach Clovis I, if you didn't write about Clovis I and if you were archaeologist who didn't believe in Clovis I, you couldn't find a job You couldn't get any money for projects, any of that stuff. You're protecting your own position. I'm here. I've got my doctorate. I've got my reverend. I've got my whatever and iIm going to now put the wagons in a circle and defend my position

52:53 And that's what I began to call the conspiracy of silence because people would deliberately shy away from these subjects. And I would go into the teachers room in a college and I would ask these kinds of questions, and I would get the same kind of answers all the time. Oh, I don't get into that." Why not? Well, I don't feel it's important. Well, it is important or the kids wouldn't be asking about it right?" And that's what I began to call the conspiracy of silence. And I began to think that that's just the case in so many ways, parents use it with their kids you know, the conspiracy of silence. Oh don't bring that up we do not talk about such things and its basically every single field that I know about and the more I looked into it and the more I began to come up with things people would shy away from The more I began to come to the fact this world has been here for a long

53:48 long time. When we're talking billions of years, now our civilization has only been around for what ever since Gobekli Tepe or Karahan Tepe? We go back then it's 12500 years something like that the world has been around so long there's plenty of time to dump a whole civilization that is twelve thousand years old anywhere back in there and over the years its gonna disappear you know leaving only hints And that's when I began to find it, well how come we don't know anything about this? And that's when I began to come to believe that the story is there. The evidence is there. It's evidence in stone and its evidence in mythology and the more you get into their religions of the world and begin to study these mythologies, you realize they're talking about thousands upon thousands upon thousands of years

54:43 And, you know what would happen if all of a sudden everything on earth that we know everybody died and everything just stopped 12000 years ago? It'd be very difficult to find any evidence of us when you come right down to it. I mean there would be some stone and there will be stories but that wouldn't be it people say oh well we've recorded at all it's in the cloud What is the cloud? It's a bunch of computers, you know. And the computers are all gone and the circuits are all gone and everything is moth-eaten and finally disappears. That's how the world works." I'm absolutely convinced that the answers were found in these old stories. The legend of Atlantis for instance… Everybody wants to shy away from it especially if you're an academic. Oh boy don't talk about Atlantis!

55:30 You know, and they don't attack the evidence. They attack the character of the people who are talking about Atlantis but I've come to believe that Atlantis is a story of mythology and oral history of something that actually happened we don't know exactly what it was but is a story with a message that's happened over and over again in history and that's what the book Lost Civilizations is really all about Well said and it is interesting because when you dig down you do find little things like oh here's a wheel or no here's the antithetical device in my what is this for and so there are things and depending on how brutal the cataclysm is.

CHAPTER 08 / 13 Discussion

Ancient Megalithic Technology and the Mystery of the Pyramids

The discussion examines the possibility of non-material technologies, such as vibration and frequency, being used to cut and move massive stones in antiquity. Observations from the Great Pyramid of Giza raise questions about ancient light sources and the precision of stone placement that defies conventional explanation. The Ark of the Covenant is hypothesized to have been a form of advanced technology, possibly a capacitor, which explains the Pharaoh's desperation to retrieve it from Moses.

pyramids of giza· ark of the covenant· levitation· vibration· ancient technology

56:17 Everything relies on that like what's gonna be found well depends on how bad things were and sometimes it seems like things can get pretty bad in this place and we're also a very material society, yeah you think about our society being wiped away and you know i will there'd be all these things left wall out of its plastic a lot of it wouldn't actually last all that long but what about the society. That isn't so materially based the subtitle of the book talks about suppress technologies of the ancient some of this could be mental technology like astral travel remote viewing getting into the akashic record these sort of things are being no physical trace of a very advanced society that had mastered this and.

57:06 If we're talking about the evidence in stone, yeah there's a lot of mystery regarding how the big stones were cut and moved with such precision but maybe it goes back to energy and vibration. There are several stories and legends of levitating stones A few anthropologists have claimed to be shown this by indigenous cultures both Victor Rabenikoff and John Hutchinson seem to have discovered the ability to levitate objects when they're hit with a certain type of frequency It sounds like Magic it's very bizarre it's like you really are kind of. Suspending disbelief to get there but there's enough whispers of it happening that it kind of make sense to me and again its like. There's not gonna be cranes and excavators next to balback if they're doing at this way, add i'm just curious what you think about that idea of levitating stone and other things that might fit under that umbrella of technology that would leave no trace if it was wiped away

58:07 My favorite story of this is when I was in Egypt, the first time I went into the pyramids. For those who have never been to the pyramids before you can't get in there without an Egyptian guide and Egyptian guides are carefully chosen to toe the line and talk about Egyptian interpretations of history and that's it But as we went down into this small group, we had this Egyptian guy and he was taking us down. And we were going through the long tunnel underneath the pyramids and we were walking on this wooden walkway to keep us from scuffling around in dirt and all that kind of stuff. There were these electric cables running alongside the walkway. The reason for them they were all sensory lights that when we reached a certain place, the lights behind us would go off, the lights in front of us would

58:58 And as a result, we realized how dark it was down there. And so I began to look around on the ceiling and the walls to see if I could see any signs of soot or anything like that because how did people come down here to work? How could they get in when it was so dark? And I was just curious. I wasn't trying to raise a problem or anything. So I was first one on our line right behind the guide. So I said you know all these lights and everything else...how did these people see down here and there was dead silence. And he looked at me, turned around and as he walked away, he answered my question by saying, oh they must have had some kind of a light source." Of course they had a light source! What I'm saying is does anybody think about this? Apparently they don't you know that they had some kind of a light source

59:51 Well, this opened my eyes when I began to read the story of the Ark of the Covenant. It had these strange powers and Moses was given permission by the Pharaoh to take off and as soon as Pharaoh realizes they were out there in a wilderness and they had either built or perhaps even stolen the Ark of the Covenant all of a sudden he goes out after Moses! Why? Was this thing so important that they had to try to gain it back? Why? Maybe it was some kind of light source. You just don't know, you know? What is a capacitor anyway? It was some kind of technology that's for sure and so when you get down there and start to think about all this technology there are things that cannot be explained

1:00:36 Every once in a while I'll get people saying, it's been proven how they built the pyramids. Well no it hasn't! Yeah well they had this long thing and they take this long ramp despite the fact that there is no evidence of ramp around them...there's no evidence of ever being destroyed and thrown someplace or they would get this and you can move this block, and they did it just by salt and sand or whatever. And they would get it all the way around the pyramid." Well okay suppose they do get it up to the top of this pyramid? I've stood there and looked at this pyramid. You get this megaton boulder that's up there and suppose you can get within a foot from where its supposed to go! That would be phenomenal in itself

1:01:20 Now, you've got to get enough people to get around this thing and wiggle it into place. To get it so close that you can't even put a knife blade between it and the stone right next to it! And you say, well they must have had enough people and they just surrounded it. Well you can't get enough people around a boulder of this size to be able to move it. It's too heavy and there is not enough area. How do you do it? That's the same thing when you go to Central America or when you go to Peru where you see these great mega cultures and everything else even Gobekli Tepe a group of hunter-gatherers all of the sudden decide to raise these megaton boulders and that kind of thing and put them in place. After awhile you begin to say, wait a minute something was going on now I don't know what it was i don't know exactly how they did it we can hypothesize but it doesn't answer the question

CHAPTER 09 / 13 Discussion

Jim Willis Website and Future Literary Projects

Jim Willis directs listeners to his website for access to his YouTube channel, Facebook page, and extensive catalog of books. He highlights a specific video project titled "Don't Be Afraid" featuring the music of Air Supply and mentions his collaboration with Indian musician Ajit Padmanabh. Willis also promotes his work of fiction, "The Wizard in the Wood," which is available as his first self-published audiobook.

jim willis· the wizard in the wood· youtube· air supply· ajit padmanabh

1:02:15 And so I'm absolutely convinced that the conspiracy of silence has kept us from asking the questions which are probably most important. And that's not necessarily why, how? How did they do it but that question why is important. Why did they do it? Why was it so important to them? It must have meant something. Mm-hmm yeah totally agree It is a weird world, Jim. And I had a great time talking to you. We covered a lot of ground your list of books is super impressive. It's a crazy amount of output for one person and I thank you for it. What should we tell people about any upcoming work? Your website Of course the latest book is about near-death experience maybe say a few words about that but anything else they should know about digging into you a little deeper Well yeah the best place to go is just to the website its jimwillis.net

1:03:12 That will also give you a way to click into my YouTube page and Facebook page. We have a lot of videos on the YouTube page, we were talking about fear earlier and we did a video last year called Don't Be Afraid that I'm really happy with the music of Air Supply. We have a lot of videos with music that's done by a long distance friend of mine who I've never met in person because he is from India. The name is Ajit Padmanabh And my daughter handles a lot of the technical stuff of the videos, not only reproducing them but doing the visuals where I do the audios. It'll also list all the books and some of them... one or two that we've published ourselves. My favorite book that I could never find a publisher for is The Wizard in the Wood

1:04:06 We did a paperback and regular version of that plus an audiobook, my first audio book. And that's my only... My first and only work of fiction but I just love that book but all this stuff is on the website jimwillis.net There is contact page there where you can contact me and I'd love to hear from you You know, you and I can talk to each other and see each other we have no idea who are listening so If you're out there and want to get in touch, I try to answer every email that I get. My way of trying to connect with this community which people like you are bringing together so keep up the good work Greg it's really important what you're doing. Ah too kind well it has definitely been a pleasure pondering the big questions with you man thanks again and take care! Okay we'll be in touch thanks a lot

CHAPTER 10 / 13 Discussion

Second Hour Preview and Excluded Biblical Texts

The host recaps the first hour and previews topics covered in the second hour for Plus members, including the supernatural abilities described in the Yoga Sutras and Hopi legends. The discussion touches on the book "Censoring God," which investigates why certain texts like the Book of Enoch were excluded from the biblical canon. A reminder is given regarding the monthly free archive show, featuring Ben Joseph Stewart and his film "Esoteric Agenda."

book of enoch· censoring god· yoga sutra· hopi legends· esoteric agenda

1:04:57 Alright, awesome! I found that to be a lot of fun and a nice resetting of the spiritual table. Pretty great insights from someone who tried it the conventional way for many years and did what he was expected to do... ...and then went off to his own thing and it yielded much greater first-hand impactful results. I like it It makes much more logical sense that the most useful and truest form of spirituality is the unbranded, universal self-directed experiential stuff that seekers and indigenous cultures around the world talk about. And Jim is a good storyteller he turns it on! A useful skill for a minister no doubt but he really has written a ton of great books

1:05:46 Interesting to hear that he's basically been firing these off since communication with an entangled being of some kind. And these are mostly 400 page books, just full of the stuff we like around here I'm sure you would agree and i don't want to go off too long on religion because it's just kind of been such a dominant theme here lately Obviously this one was way more up my personal alley than some other ones recently But I still tried to broaden it out and talk about his ancient civilization work, his ancient technology stuff. His unseen energy material... I know the personal story took some time if you only heard the first hour but in the second hour we got into stuff like the supernatural abilities in the Yoga Sutra system

1:06:34 a few important insights from Hopi legends which he seems to know a lot about, and we talked about his book Censoring God and the excluded texts and the Book of Enoch. That's probably the perspective on the Bible I'm most interested in is why were these other books left out? And what did they say? I'm interested in what is being hidden or suppressed not what you can find in the nightstands of every hotel room across this great land! Sign up for Plus already! Of course the free Plus show in the first hour RSS feed for May was Ben Joseph Stewart, the maker of Esoteric Agenda and several other films. It was nice to dust off one that I have really fond memories of and you should see it in your podcasting app right before this one

CHAPTER 11 / 13 Discussion

Personal Update on the Passing of the Host's Father

The host shares the personal news of his father's recent passing at age 75 following a battle with melanoma that spread to the brain. He describes the transition from the hospital to home hospice care and the logistical challenges of managing his father's estate as an only child. Despite the loss, the host expresses gratitude for his father's healthy years and the opportunity for him to meet his grandchildren and see his son's professional success.

melanoma· hospice care· family news· grief· legacy

1:07:24 But we're doing the one free plus show a month this year from the archives just to share what a full episode is like for those who might not know and hopefully move the needle in convincing some of you free listeners to come on over and start supporting this deep diving sponsorship-free experience. And on higher side news or really Carlwood family news, I guess It makes sense that I should say something but my dad died on Sunday. I mentioned a melanoma On the Jack Cruz episode and my dad was a guy who really wasn't gonna spend a lot of time engaging with the medical system if he felt fine and for A long long time even after that Melanoma, he felt fine

1:08:12 Then suddenly about three weeks ago he started to get dizzy and it just wouldn't go away. He ended up at the hospital, they did some scans and they found cancer throughout his body and mainly in his brain with like 10 plus tumors at least And then after two weeks of poking and prodding and drawing blood every hour in the hospital The way it goes In his weakened state, he said he really just wanted to go home. He was really miserable there It's not a place for healing the food sucks and you cannot sleep when people are just coming in your room non-stop So we busted him out on his 75th birthday And we got them home and after a few days of hospice care Mainly with me and my mom running point...He was gone

1:09:02 Kind of still trying to process it all and really just burying myself in the crazy amount of logistical stuff you have to take care of. I'm an only child, it falls on my shoulders he handled a lot of financial stuff for my mom, I'm trying to help out there too but it was clear about halfway through the hospital stay that they weren't going to be able to get him back to his normal self And I knew that he knew when he started giving me his banking information and private keys and all that. So interviews like parts of this one, and the next one kind of hit home right now but life does what it does and the show must go on. I'm proud of the dad i had in 75 healthy years is about as much as anyone can ask for in this life

1:09:52 Now that i'm a dad i think about what i wanna see before my life ends and i look at him and thank well. He got to meet his grandkids any got to see his son figure it out after floundering for a long time, you gotta see me by the nice house that my family will be raised in for the next twenty years as long is nothing major changes And it's all good. But if I'm slow to answer emails or you don't see a lot of online presence, I'm kind of just doing the minimum right now because I have quite a bit on my plate and though the show really isn't about what's going on in my life that's kind of a big thing but that said let's do the last episode review thing where plus members rate and comment on the site and let me know what they think of the episode i put out last

CHAPTER 12 / 13 Discussion

Nick Bryant Episode Review and Watergate Call Girl Theory

A review of the previous episode featuring researcher Nick Bryant notes a mixed listener response to the topic of Watergate. The host defends the "Call Girl Theory" as a more plausible explanation for the scandal than the conventional narrative and highlights the second-hour discussion regarding Sean "Diddy" Combs and Jeffrey Epstein. The segment concludes with a rating of 4.5 out of 10, which the host interprets as a high mark for a potentially dry historical subject.

nick bryant· watergate· call girl theory· jeffrey epstein· diddy

1:10:47 And that one would be the Nick Bryant episode. The rating looks to be about what I expected, a 4.5. Nick's a great researcher and he is even interesting to listen too but Watergate is just not a topic that people care about A lot of listeners were not shy about telling me they find Watergate boring and irrelevant But in the context of Nick Bryant's body of work and the hindsight we have today about how things really work, The Call Girl Theory just makes much more sense than the conventional story. But the second hour was a lot better. We got deeper into Diddy and we got into Nick's Epstein work and followups on his previous investigations I understand, I'm not that compelled by Watergate either but The Call Girl Theory angle is the most interesting angle to me Nick discovered some important historical information because it is a significant scandal

1:11:48 And I wanted to make sure we covered it first and promoted his book out of respect for all the work he's done.
