Topic: Spagyric Medicine

Europe is identified as having a largely unbroken tradition of herbal and medicinal alchemy, influenced by figures like Rudolf Steiner and Alexander von Bernus. Cotenoir mentions the Soluna Laboratory in Germany as a continuing center for alchemical products and study. He encourages seekers to visit "imperial cities" like Rome and Prague to find practitioners in traditional cafes.

Spagyrics, or plant alchemy, is presented as a safer starting point for practitioners than mineral work. Cotenoir explains the three alchemical principles: Salt (body), Sulfur (essential oil), and Mercury (spirit/alcohol). While acknowledging the power of modern pharmaceuticals for conditions like migraines, he argues that alchemical preparations create more potent, balanced versions of herbal remedies.

The host previews topics from the second hour of the interview, including German New Medicine, the effects of vaccination on the soul, and conscious commerce. Carlwood advocates for direct exchange and "conscious commerce," sharing personal anecdotes about trading podcast access for coffee and other goods. He concludes by inviting listeners to join the Plus show and pay via various cryptocurrencies.

The discussion explores the life of Paracelsus, born Theophrastos von Hohenheim in the late 1490s, who challenged the Aristotelian theory of the four humors. Serving as a military medic, Paracelsus observed folk healers and developed a cosmology involving five causes of disease and four pillars of spagyric practice. His work emphasized the Hippocratic oath of doing no harm while criticizing contemporary doctors for aggravating patient symptoms.
