Topic: Phoenix Aurelius

Phoenix Aurelius returns to the program to discuss his work as a self-taught spagyricist and student of Paracelsus. He details his 2014 apprenticeship in Tarapoto, Peru, where he worked with Amazonian Herbals to develop spagyric tinctures and essential oils. This experience led to an existential connection with bioregional animism, the belief that locations possess conscious intelligence expressed through local vegetation and minerals.

The host concludes the episode by promising "weirder" content for the second half of 2020 to provide an escape from the heavy political climate. He mentions upcoming and past guests like Phoenix Aurelius, Bruce Fenton, and Chris Knowles, noting that Knowles' appearance was delayed by a hurricane. The show ends with the standard Higher Side Chats closing music and a final declarative sign-off against "racial oppressors" and "plantation prison operators."

Phoenix Aurelius joins the program to discuss his work as a self-taught spagyricist and educator of alchemical sciences. Since 2005, Aurelius has practiced these arts, later focusing on the medical philosophies of Paracelsus after inheriting a collection of hermetic writings in 2010. He currently operates the Phoenix Aurelius Research Academy to reconstruct 21st-century spagyric theory and pharmacopoeia.

Phoenix Aurelius promotes his educational offerings, including a free introductory course on spagyric theory available on Teachable. He offers immersion study programs and advanced courses like "Spagyria 101" that teach students how to set up home laboratories and perform alchemical pharmacopoeia. The interview concludes with the host praising the depth of the guest's knowledge.
