The "spell of disenchantment" is identified as a mechanism used to gather men into a "cosmopolis" and distance them from organic environments. Schwab argues that peak experiences and shamanic rituals are marginalized because they allow individuals to escape the "machinic maze" of routine and media consumption. Spontaneous, unplanned travel and immersion in nature are suggested as methods to break the shepherding of modern control systems.

Dr. Shoemaker clarifies that True Will is not necessarily a specific job, such as being a dentist, but a unique force of nature an individual exerts on the world. He suggests identifying this purpose by observing one's influence on a room of people or recognizing "peak moments" where all internal gears feel aligned. He shares a personal anecdote about realizing his own path through teaching dream analysis.
