Topic: Pazuzu

The case of John Lawson, who changed his name to Pazuzu and led a murderous cult in North Carolina, serves as a modern example of demonic "inspiration." Lawson claimed to be possessed by the Mesopotamian demon Pazuzu and performed human sacrifices before dying mysteriously in his jail cell from unexplained hemorrhaging. This event raises questions about the nature of reality and how spiritual archetypes can manifest through human fallibility.

Zagami focuses on the importance of psychic defense against entities like Beelzebub and Pazuzu. He explains how occult orders create an "egregore"—a collective thought form—to feed and empower the specific entities they have chosen as protectors.

Winged creatures are historically viewed as harbingers of doom, such as the ancient Assyrian demon Pazuzu or the Scottish Scree. The most famous modern example is the Mothman, whose sightings in Point Pleasant coincided with the tragic 1967 Silver Bridge collapse. This connection has led to the theory that these entities appear as warnings of impending cataclysmic events.
