In 1923, Nicholas Roerich reportedly received a fragment of the Chintamani Stone in a casket marked "Bankers Trust" while staying in Paris. This delivery was facilitated by Louis Levy Horch, a wealthy New York stockbroker and Roerich disciple who funded the construction of the Master Building in Manhattan. The building, dedicated to Roerich, features pyramidal architecture that mirrors the symbolic themes found in the Bankers Trust headquarters and the U.S. dollar.
