Musical Angels comes up in 2 chapters across 2 episodes of The Higherside Chats Free Show, from July 2015 to June 2021.
Closing Song and Final Sign-off
The episode concludes with a closing song themed around alien abductions, screen memories, and the "skinny arms" of celestial visitors. Greg Carlwood gives a final shout-out to Pierre Sabac's website and issues a defiant "your move" to the angelic sailors and elite liaisons discussed during the show.
Holy of Holies, Celestial Music and Acoustic Engineering
Merrick describes the specific acoustic engineering within Roslyn Chapel, where musical angels are carved sitting on pentagrams. The chapel's design uses a double square for the main floor and a golden ratio proportion for the ceiling height in the choir area. This configuration creates an effect where music seems to be "sucked up" and then rained down from above, making it sound as though the performance is originating from heaven rather than the musicians.
