Michael C. Ruppert, a prominent voice in the conspiracy research community and host of The Lifeboat Hour, reportedly died by suicide via a gunshot to the head on the eve of the Blood Moon. Ruppert was known for his work on peak oil and government corruption, having appeared on The Higherside Chats two months prior to his death. His passing has sparked debate within alternative news circles regarding the circumstances of his death.

Michael Rupert dismisses modern technological solutions like fracking or nuclear power as "techno-fixes" that fail to address the Earth's carrying capacity. He argues that the truly suppressed technologies are the spiritual practices of indigenous peoples, which involve energetic relationships with life rather than mechanical circuit switches.
