Fred Beck comes up in 2 chapters across 2 episodes of The Higherside Chats Free Show, from September 2016 to August 2020.
Ape Canyon 1924, Sanitized History and High Strangeness
Joshua Kutchin revisits the famous 1924 Ape Canyon incident, highlighting the "sanitized" elements often omitted from biological accounts. These include the miners being led by a white arrow in the sky, encounters with spirit guides, and a "Lady in White" connection.
Ape Canyon, 1924 Bigfoot Encounter
A 1924 encounter at Ape Canyon near Mount St. Helens involved miners being attacked by "ape men" who bombarded their cabin with rocks. Miner Fred Beck claimed the creatures were mystical beings from another dimension, a detail he later published in a booklet. This historical event is cited as a classic example of the intersection between physical cryptids and psychic phenomena.
