The British Security Coordination operated a wireless relay network called Hydra out of Camp X near Toronto. Michael Wan notes the proximity of Camp X to the birthplace of actor Mike Myers, who created the Austin Powers film franchise. He suggests the dual roles played by Myers in the films reflect the reality that opposing forces in global narratives are often controlled by the same entities.

The British Society for Psychical Research, led by figures like F.W. Myers, investigated mediumship as evidence for the survival of consciousness after death. Myers documented cases where mediums facilitated complex philosophical discussions between living and deceased scholars that were too specialized to be fraudulent.

A background in philosophy and psychology led to an interest in personality typing systems like Myers-Briggs and Jungian archetypes. The video game Final Fantasy Tactics served as a turning point for understanding astrology because its combat system utilized accurate zodiacal aspect doctrine to calculate success probabilities. This mechanical application of geometry and planetary distribution provided a more sophisticated model for human personality than traditional linear typing systems.

The removal of Rupert Sheldrake and Graham Hancock's presentations from the TEDx website sparked a major controversy involving militant atheist bloggers like PZ Myers. This attempt at censorship resulted in a "Streisand Effect," where Sheldrake's talk jumped from 35,000 views to over 500,000 as a direct result of the publicity. TED curator Chris Anderson reportedly read Sheldrake's book, Science Set Free, following the backlash, suggesting the controversy may have opened minds within the organization.
