Inventor Solomon Andrews approached the Abraham Lincoln administration in 1863 with a flying machine called the Aeron, intended for military reconnaissance. Although official history states Secretary of War Edwin Stanton rejected the technology, evidence suggests it became the first American black project. This secret development likely led to the more advanced airships reported by witnesses thirty years later in the 1890s.

Paul Serup addresses the theory that bankers killed Lincoln, stating his research points instead to a Catholic conspiracy involving John Wilkes Booth. He cites Secretary of War Edwin Stanton's belief in a Catholic plot as significant evidence. The discussion highlights the account of Reverend Francis Conwell, who allegedly heard news of Lincoln's death in a remote Minnesota Catholic village hours before the event occurred.
