Topic: Biblical Cosmology

During the 18th and 19th centuries, European scholars attempted to dismantle ancient Hindu cosmology to align it with the 5,000-year biblical timescale. This effort was part of a broader movement to establish a single, objective Western archaeology that suppressed traditional knowledge systems from India, Africa, and Asia. Today, a "plural archaeology" movement exists that welcomes non-Western epistemologies into the academic discourse.

Jake Grant shares his background as a missionary kid in the Philippines and how it shaped his perspective on faith. He and Rob Skiba focused on "biblical cosmology," which posits that the Earth is flat under a dome, a belief they claim is consistent across many ancient cultures. Grant argues that Christians who reject evolution or carbon dating have more in common with flat earthers than they do with modern Western scientific dogmas.
