Research by Walter Johannes Stein, inspired by Rudolf Steiner, traces the introduction of Grail myths into European history to approximately 750 AD. While the famous epic poems were written in the 1100s, they drew on oral traditions established centuries earlier. This period began with a priest receiving visions and a book from a supernatural being, a pattern seen in other religious origins like Mormonism.

The "War in Heaven" is reinterpreted as a conflict between different factions of Nordic aliens, some of whom are positive and others exploitative. According to Wolfram von Eschenbach, neutral angels brought the Grail to Earth for safekeeping during this war. This technology has since influenced specific dynasties, such as Charlemagne's, setting the stage for competing alien endgames that continue to play out in the modern era.

Otto Rahn was a literary historian and SS officer who became obsessed with finding the Holy Grail, which he linked to the Cathar stronghold of Mont Ségur. Hired by Heinrich Himmler's Black Order, Rahn investigated the connection between medieval Grail romances and the actual history of the Pyrenees. Historical records suggest the Cathars brought a "treasure" to the castle before its fall, which remains missing or hidden within the mountain.
