Topic: Website Archive

Greg Carlwood addresses recent technical issues where high server resource usage led to a massive increase in hosting costs. As a temporary solution, the "Plus" feed has been limited to the last year of shows, though the full archive remains available on the website. He discusses the psychology of paid media and his ongoing efforts to streamline the signup process and reduce friction for subscribers.

The host details recent technical improvements to the Higher Side Chats website, including a new responsive player and a volume adjuster for PC users. Plus members can now use a timestamping feature in the comments section to link to specific moments in an episode. The site has also implemented a "Netflix-style" display for the archive, categorizing shows into genres like "Aliens" and "Big Pharma."

Technical challenges regarding the organization of the podcast archive led to a change in how Joint Session episodes are distributed. To maintain alignment between different podcast feeds and fix broken audio players on the website, a placeholder segment now appears on the free RSS feed. Listeners hearing this placeholder are offered a free week of Plus membership using a specific coupon code to access the full bonus content.

Greg Carlwood concludes the episode by announcing a major infrastructure overhaul for the Higher Side Chats website. He explains the transition to a unified platform for both free and Plus members. Carlwood encourages listeners to sign up for the second hour of the show and teases upcoming episodes involving mind control technologies and the reincarnation cycle.
