Walking Sam and the Pine Ridge Reservation Suicides
A spate of suicides among teenagers on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation has been linked by tribal elders to an entity known as "Walking Sam." While some outsiders compare the figure to the Slender Man meme, the Lakota people describe it as an ancient suicide spirit that has been part of their culture long before the internet. This entity is categorized alongside the Shadow Man and the Hatman as a malevolent visitation that targets the vulnerable.
