Unrepentant Documentary, Germ Warfare and Canadian Genocide Evidence
The documentary Unrepentant and the website Hidden No Longer document the experiences of 273 eyewitnesses to atrocities in Canadian residential schools. Evidence suggests the intentional spread of tuberculosis and smallpox among healthy indigenous children as a form of germ warfare to facilitate white settlement. Annett argues these actions meet every definition of genocide under the UN Convention, yet no individuals have been prosecuted for the estimated 50,000 deaths.
