Tina Bar Money Discovery and Environmental Testing
In 1980, a young boy named Brian Ingram found $5,800 of the ransom money buried on the banks of the Columbia River at Tina Bar. Scientific analysis by Tom Kaye involving rubber band degradation and water flow experiments suggests the money could not have been exposed to the elements for nine years. This has led to theories that the cash was planted at the site shortly before its discovery.
