Topic: Timaeus

Jason Quitt analyzes the structure of Plato's dialogues, noting that the story of Atlantis is primarily found in the Timaeus and the unfinished Critias. He points out the literary irony where Plato cuts the story off just as Zeus convenes the gods to judge humanity, mirroring Solon's own failure to finish the tale. The discussion emphasizes that the Timaeus contains the foundational philosophical and astronomical context necessary to understand the Atlantis allegory.
