THC 28: Philip Coppens | The Ancient Alien Question
Philip Coppens, Ancient Aliens Television Success
Philip Coppens discusses the global popularity of the History Channel series Ancient Aliens, noting that an estimated 100 million people have viewed episodes from the first two seasons. He recounts personal anecdotes of being recognized by security guards and taxi drivers in Las Vegas due to his distinctive voice. Coppens argues that the show's success stems from moving away from traditional "expert vs. expert" formats to a viewer-centric approach that presents evidence for individual interpretation.
