Michael Sandler references Dr. Irvin Laszlo's theory of bifurcation, suggesting humanity is at a point where it will either collapse or ascend to a higher state. He argues that individuals chose to incarnate at this specific time to facilitate this transition. Ancient texts from the Middle East, China, and North America reveal a shared tradition of inner brotherhoods that taught the mechanics of nature and the soul. Initiates underwent induced near-death experiences in man-made chambers or caves, sometimes remaining out-of-body for up to seven days. These "gentlemen of the way" sought to wake up the human soul, distinguishing themselves from the uninitiated who were described as living a "living death" focused only on the physical world.
