Topic: Robert Taylor

The work of 19th-century minister Robert Taylor is highlighted, specifically his books The Devil's Pulpit and Astro-Theological Lectures. Taylor was defrocked and imprisoned for teaching that the Bible was based entirely on constellations. While Mathison admires Taylor's systematic approach, he notes a disagreement regarding the spiritual advancement of ancient ancestors, whom Taylor viewed more primitively.

The transition from a meat-based diet to vegetarianism is framed as a requirement for advanced mystical practice, as philosophers like Pythagoras and Plutarch left the "taste of blood" behind. Consuming animal flesh is said to involve ingesting the "soul" or etheric energy of the animal, which can tether a person to lower archetypes like "chattel" (cow) or "sheeple" (lamb). Reverend Robert Taylor's exposure of the Freemasonic caste system is also referenced.
