Topic: Robert Heath

Dr. Robert Heath at Tulane University conducted experiments in the early 1970s involving the use of brain electrode implants to "treat" homosexuality. One specific case involved a young man who was given a transmitter to stimulate his brain's pleasure centers while viewing heterosexual pornography. Despite the subject's compulsive use of the device, the experiment was published in professional journals as a successful conversion, illustrating the extreme nature of sanctioned psychiatric research.
