Ferguson Protests and the Strategy of Radical Kindness
Reflecting on the Ferguson protests, Greg Carlwood suggests that "killing with kindness" might be a more effective strategy against police aggression than traditional confrontation. He proposes a hypothetical scenario where protesters screen movies and host barbecues for the police to break the "spell" of adrenaline and mutual enmity. This approach aims to humanize the protesters and force officers to confront the morality of their orders.
