Topic: Pre Socratics

The guests discuss how the ancient Mystery traditions of Greece, such as the Eleusinian and Samothrace mysteries, were suppressed when Christianity aligned with the Roman Empire. They criticize modern perspectives, including those of Tucker Carlson, for labeling these traditions as "pagan Satanism." Steven argues that the pre-Socratics represented the "last stand" of a direct connection to the divine before it was institutionalized.

The guests lament the loss of classical education, noting that students used to learn Greek and Latin as a standard. They discuss the practice of "incubation," where ancient mystics would lie in dark places to receive laws or healing from gods like Asclepius. They argue that Westerners are often unaware that their civilization is built upon these sacred, mystical foundations.
