Topic: Practical Alchemy

Brian Cotenoir joins the program to discuss his 45-year career as an alchemist, artist, and award-winning filmmaker. Cotenoir has contributed to Frater Albertus' ParaAlchemy and authored several books including Practical Alchemy and Alchemy: The Poetry of Matter. The guest describes alchemy as an "unhealthy obsession" that encompasses the entire process of creation.

Greg Carlwood reflects on the interview, noting the rarity of finding a guest who treats alchemy as a practical science rather than just a spiritual metaphor. He highlights the potential for future episodes on biodynamic agriculture and permaculture. Carlwood discusses the humbling nature of being a custodian of the environment and refining natural resources without over-inflating the ego.
