Gene Roddenberry and the Planet Vulcan Mythos
Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry is linked to the Ancient Order of the Rosicrucians, suggesting the planet Vulcan has roots in occult evolutionary cycles rather than just science fiction. In the Rosicrucian system, Vulcan represents the highest echelon of human evolution following seven cosmic cycles. The name also relates to the alchemist Fulcanelli, meaning "Vulcan's children," symbolizing the elevation of man through spiritual development.
