Kabbalistic Guilds and Intelligent Non-Human Beings
In Catalonia, specific guilds honor Lucifer as a "carrier of light" who helped advance human intelligence. Chaplin suggests that intelligent beings arrived in the distant past to assist cave dwellers in developing hierarchical societies and advanced tools. Carlwood links this to global depictions of gods holding "handbags" or pine cones, interpreting these as symbols of the vessel of knowledge.
