Assonet Ledge and the Overtoun Bridge Dog Suicides
Assonet Ledge in Massachusetts and Overtoun Bridge in Scotland are sites of unexplained "suicide" phenomena affecting both humans and animals. At Overtoun Bridge, over 50 dogs have reportedly leaped to their deaths, a behavior some attribute to the scent of mink or the presence of paranormal energy in the granite structure. Assonet Ledge survivors describe a sudden, overwhelming urge to jump, leading researchers to speculate on the role of quartz in the local geography retaining "memory" or intent.
