Extensive tunnel systems exist beneath Cusco and the Giza Plateau, with some connecting major sites like Sacsayhuaman and the Coricancha. While many entrances are now blocked by governments, ground-penetrating radar has confirmed the existence of these subterranean passages. In Egypt, local guides report at least ten levels of tunnels carved into the limestone bedrock far below the surface.
