Human Body as a Vehicle for Pure Consciousness
Vedic philosophy describes the higher realm of consciousness as being governed by love and free choice. When consciousness chooses "non-love" or selfish desires, it enters the material plane to work through those issues. The human body is compared to a specialized vehicle, similar to a diving suit used to explore the ocean floor, allowing the soul to interact with a dense material environment.
