A discussion on the Anunnaki narrative reveals claims that Zecharia Sitchin's work was funded and promoted by the Rockefellers. Gordon White's past commentary is cited, arguing that the "ancient aliens" theory is a way of caging important myths into a restrictive materialistic worldview. White corrected a commenter by clarifying that the backing came from the Rockefellers rather than the Rothschilds, noting Sitchin was even housed at 30 Rock.

The origins of monotheism are traced back to the Near East, where Yahweh emerged from an earlier Babylonian pantheon. White explains that understanding this historical context deepens rather than invalidates magical practices like Kabbalah. He critiques the "physical box" view of esoteric knowledge, suggesting instead that knowledge is often extracted from the "ether" or spirit world through a continuum of human interaction.

J.R.R. Tolkien’s creation myth in The Silmarillion describes the character Morgoth introducing discordant notes into the "psalm of creation." Tolkien’s Catholic worldview suggests that the creator God (Iluvatar) uses this discord to ultimately make creation better and more complete. This mythological framework is applied to modern global crises, suggesting that even "bad" parts of the cycle are proceeding as intended on a higher level of reality.

Matt Dragonstone explains the significance of the Pleiades star cluster in astrological magic, noting its presence in the Picatrix and Agrippa's occult philosophy. He highlights the mystery of why global cultures consistently refer to "Seven Sisters" when only six stars are typically visible to the naked eye today. Scientific data suggests all seven stars were visible 100,000 years ago, implying the mythologies may predate known civilization.
