Miniaturization and Demonic Imagery in Renaissance Art
Renaissance artists used techniques like disproportion and miniaturization to hide information, similar to a modern microdot. Adams points to a card depicting the Sunoodo coat of arms where extreme magnification reveals "demonic fellatio" hidden in the design. Other cards may reference the creation of a "homunculus," a major preoccupation of 15th-century magical science regarding the artificial creation of life.
