A.T.L. Carver | Meme Magic: Pepe, Trump, & The Cult of Kek
September 11 Health Crisis, Hillary Clinton and the Pepe Curse
4chan users reportedly "prayed" for a visible health crisis for Hillary Clinton to expose mainstream media bias, which they believe manifested during her fainting spell on September 11, 2016. The synchronicity intensified when Clinton's campaign officially denounced the Pepe meme the following day. Carver suggests this was a "wink" from the entity Kek or a result of a memetic curse that forced the candidate to acknowledge a cartoon frog.
