Easter Island, Maritime Migration and Rongo-Rongo Tablets
Easter Island, or Rapa Nui, served as a critical maritime crossroads for ancient travelers, with oral traditions describing red-haired, light-skinned inhabitants predating the Polynesians. The island's unique Rongo-Rongo tablets feature a sophisticated hieroglyphic system that remains undeciphered. Some researchers note a striking similarity between the Rongo-Rongo symbols and ancient scripts from the Indus Valley in India.
