Jake's Sacrifice and the Escape from the Woods
During the Dogman attack, Kyle's dog Jake intervened three times to save his owner, eventually being brutally thrown and seemingly killed by the creature. Kyle managed to reach his grandfather's truck and escape. His grandfather later told him that if he wanted to hunt those woods, he had to accept that there are things out there that cannot be explained.
