Liber Vacui, 9th Century Arabic Grimoires and Forbidden Rituals
The Liber Vacui is a 9th-century Arabic grimoire containing instructions for magical operations, including weather control and the creation of rational animals. Scholars like Lynn Thorndike historically refused to translate portions of the text due to its perceived blasphemy, while David Pingree labeled it a demonic manual. Modern AI tools are now being used to translate these fragmented manuscripts that were previously hidden within medical texts.
