Gordon White presents the "Scole Experiment" as a "smoking gun" for the survival of consciousness. Conducted by members of the Society for Psychical Research in England, the year-long study produced physical evidence including apported 1940s newspapers and images on factory-sealed Kodak film. White argues that these results cannot be explained by anything other than a spirit model, providing a logical foundation for the reality of an afterlife.

The Scole experiments, conducted by members of the Society for Psychical Research in East England, are cited as significant evidence for the survival of consciousness. Over a year of sessions, the group reportedly produced "imported" objects, including 1940s newspapers with obsolete ink and sealed Kodak film canisters containing unrolled messages and formulae. These phenomena are presented as a "smoking gun" for the reality of a spirit world that exists independently of conventional religious interpretations.
