Topic: Jordan Schachtel

Greg Carlwood introduces investigative journalist Jordan Schachtel, host of the podcast and Substack newsletter titled The Dossier. The introduction draws a contrast between Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s 1930s Fireside Chats and the current era of global frustration. Schachtel is recognized for his reporting on what he describes as a global pandemic of authoritarianism and his recent expansion into the Rockfin platform.

The host and Jordan Schachtel discuss the obsolescence of traditional journalism degrees, suggesting that aspiring reporters should instead focus on building independent audiences on platforms like Substack and Rockfin. Schachtel encourages truth-tellers to develop "thick skin" to handle the inevitable hostility from the establishment. He concludes by directing listeners to his work at dossier.substack.com and his weekly live streams on Rockfin.
