Ogham Magical Language and Tree Alphabet Traditions
Ogham is an ancient Irish alphabet system based on trees that served as a magical language for the Druids. While many Ogham standing stones were vandalized with Christian crosses to rewrite history, approximately 300 stones survive, with the majority featuring pagan inscriptions dedicated to entities like the Morrigan. The Druids maintained a secular influence in Irish society as bards (Fíle) until the early 1600s, preserving mythological knowledge despite the Christian onslaught.
