Jan Irvin | Mind Control, Mushrooms, & Terence McKenna
Aldous Huxley, MKUltra Architecture and the Word Psychedelic
The discussion shifts to Aldous Huxley, whom Irvin describes as a key architect of MKUltra rather than a critic of totalitarianism. He points to Huxley's correspondence with MKUltra researchers like Louis Jolyon West and his role in creating the term "psychedelic" with Humphrey Osmond. Irvin claims the specific spelling of the word was an intentional linguistic manipulation to avoid negative associations with the prefix "psycho."
