Local Activism and Confronting Houston City Council
Derek Brose discusses the tactical use of city council meetings to spread information, noting that while officials often ignore citizens, the recorded footage serves as a powerful recruiting tool. He describes a specific 2018 confrontation with the Mayor of Houston and the CEO of Verizon regarding 5G rollout that garnered nearly a million views on YouTube. Brose emphasizes that his goal is to inspire others to engage locally and witness the dismissive nature of elected representatives.
