Topic: Houston Batman

In June 1953, three witnesses in the Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas, reported seeing a six-foot-tall man with bat-like wings perched in a pecan tree. The figure was described as wearing a paratrooper-style uniform and a glowing black suit before vanishing. A torpedo-shaped object was seen flying away shortly after, leading to speculation about secret military experiments or UFO connections.

Reports of flying cryptids include the Kongamato of the Congo Basin, which witnesses describe as a living pterodactyl. In the United States, legends of the Thunderbird and sightings of the "Houston Batman" describe impossibly large birds or flying humanoids. Blackburn also mentions rare reports from Colorado involving small, bipedal dinosaur-like reptiles.
